A delightfully thoughtful romance involving love letters from beyond the grave. Holly’s husband Gerry has recently died and this is the tale of her beginning to recover thanks to friends and family.
Her debut novel, "PS, I Love You" , was sold to over forty countries. The novel was one of the biggest-selling debut novels of 2004, reaching No.1 in Ireland and in the U.K. Sunday Times bestseller list.
An example of the gentle humour in this bitter-sweet book –
“He reminded Holly of her old maths teacher at school, dressed in a brown knitted cardigan with brown trousers that stopped just at the top of his neat little brown loafers. He hadn’t a hair on his head out of place and his fingernails were clean and perfectly manicured. Holly could imagine him measuring them with a little ruler every night to see that they didn’t outgrow the required European standard length for fingernails, if such a thing existed.”

Hey there. I loved this book, despite it's chick lit status, purely because of the sweet concept of leaving behind a message for a loved one after death. I found a site called farawayfish.com where you can do just that, but with emails and a profile all about your life. Wondered if it was inspired by the book!
