It's difficult to pick a single book as I read depending upon my mood.
ReplyDeleteThe Girl With the Dragon tattoo has toe be near the top. In fact I read and re-read the Millennium Trilogy. I also enjoyed Henry Miller's Tropic of Cancer. I skim the self indulgent bits.
Since 'The Thousand Autumns of Jacob de Zoet' was one of your favourites of 2011 you really ought to add 'Cloud Atlas' to this list.
ReplyDeleteI read Cloud Atlas in 2007 , Helen. Like you I think it's brilliant.
ReplyDeleteAaah for some reason I thought you said you hadn't read it when you were talking about Jacob de Zoet in July. My mind must have been on other things!!
